Day 1: Arrival in Kilimanjaro
Your flight will land at Kilimanjaro Airport. Welcome to Africa! Look forward to a journey through majestic, unspoiled landscapes to fabulous game reserves where the dark continents incomparable wildlife is protected in its natural habitat. After disembarking from the aircraft, you will be met by our Customer Service Manager who will lead you to clear customs and immigration formalities and proceed to the arrivals lounge. Transfer to your hotel near the Airport. Overnight at Villa Maua Hotel on bed and breakfast basis
Day 2: Drive to Tarangire – 3Hours Drive
After breakfast in your hotel, begin your drive to Tarangire off with your guide. Arrive in time for lunch and after resting you will then head out for an afternoon game drive. It’s a very different experience as one has an opportunity to also see some of the more nocturnal animals beginning to stir while the daytime animals are settling down. Return to the lodge for a shower and a well-deserved sundowner before the evening meal.
Tarangire has a vast number of the ancient baobab trees that first captures your eye. The park is among the most diverse in Tanzania. It is 2850 sq. km (1,096 sq. miles) in size and is located 118 km (75 miles) southwest of Arusha. Unlike other parks, in Tarangire guests can enjoy walking safaris and night game drives. The park boasts large herds of Elephant and provides excellent habitat for Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and many Antelope species unique to East Africa. These include Lesser Kudu, Fringe Eared Oryx and Grants Gazelle. Herds of up to 300 Elephants dig for water in the dry riverbeds for underground streams, while migratory Wildebeest, Zebra, Buffalo, Impala, Gazelle, Hartebeest and Eland crowd the plains. Thousands of animals migrate to Tarangire National Park from Manyara National Park during the dry season.
Day 3: Full day in Tarangire National Park
Begin with an early morning wakeup call and a steaming cup of coffee. Head off with your guide for a short game walk or a game drive. This is an ideal time to see the animals while the temperatures are still cool. Return to your lodge for lunch and well-deserved afternoon siesta. In the late afternoon- you can head out again for an afternoon game drive. It’s a very different experience as one has an opportunity to also see some of the more nocturnal animals beginning to stir while the daytime animals are settling down. Return to camp for a shower and a well-deserved sun downer before the evening meal.
Day 4: Drive to Karatu near Ngorongoro– 2hour Drive
Begin with an early morning wakeup call and a steaming cup of coffee. Transfer from Tarangire to Karatu driving through the Ngorongoro Highlands. Arrive in time for lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Neptune Ngorongoro Lodge
Day 5: Full day - Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Today you will descend 2000 feet (0ver 600 metres) to the floor of the crater for a day crater tour with picnic lunches. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest intact caldera in an exceptional geographical position, forming a spectacular bowl of about 265 square kilometers with sides up to 600m deep, the stalking ground of around 20,000 to 30,000 wild animals at any one time.
The crater floor consists of a number of ecological environments that include grassland, swamps, forests and Lake Makat, a central soda lake filled by the Munge River. All these various habitats attract various wildlife to drink, wallow, graze, hide or climb. Although animals are free to move in and out of this contained environment, the rich volcanic soil, lush forests and spring source lakes on the crater floor tend to incline both grazers and predators to remain here throughout the year.
Day 6: Drive to Serengeti National Park – Central – 4Hour Drive
After breakfast at the lodge, drive to Serengeti Central Plains for game drives. Arrive at you camp in time for lunch and you guide will also assist you to check in. Spend the afternoon at leisure and at 16h00 set out for an evening game drive and catch the sun sets. Head back to the camp for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Sametu Camp
Day 7 & 8: Game drives in Central Serengeti
Breakfast at the camp. Depending on your preference, there are a couple of options with regards to how your day is structured. One option is to break early and head out with a picnic breakfast returning to the tented lodge in time for lunch. Alternatively, you can eat breakfast in the camp and head out with picnic lunch returning in the midafternoon. The driver guide will do everything he can to ensure that your ideal structure is met. This enormous park supports every variety of animal imaginable - from large predators such as Lion, Leopard and Cheetah to the smaller herbivores they prey on. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Fly Kilimanjaro
Breakfast at the camp. Today after breakfast transfer to Seronera Airstrip for your scheduled flight in Kilimanjaro
